Cannot Dial out? Please help.

Hi all,

Recently started having a wierd problem on two of our extensions here. When the handset is picked up, a dial tone is heard, but as soon as a outside number is dialed, the phone acts like it is paging another handset. It makes some error noise.

I have tried dialing 9 and other numbers first with no luck. Same response. All the other phones are fine.

I believe our phone model is 18D and the phone system is PACS R7.0 91I.

I've been searching for days to find a solution with no luck. Please advise.

I would try doing a copy from an extension that is working properly to the extension that is not.

From Ext. 10:
Feature 00
Left Intercom Twice

Dial the extension number of a phone that is working correctly
Dial the extension number of a phone that is NOT working correctly
Feature 00

Go check the phone, see if it is behaving properly now.

If so, do the same with the other phone that is not working properly.
